Come here first to introduce yourself. When you're finished, feel free to start any book conversations you like. Have fun!
1) Tell us as little or as much about yourself as you'd like.
2) What's your favorite book genre(s)?
3) Who's your favorite author?
4) What's the one book you'd recommend everyone read?
I'll start. My name is Angel, and I live in South Dakota (I know!). I was a bookseller for almost five years, but I have been in love with books for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, but remember most distinctly the wind in the trees and the smell of the flowers...as I sat outside with my nose in a book.
I find myself mostly reading horror books these days, and weird little books where the imagination of the author inspires (and baffles) me. My favorite authors are Stephen King, Joe Hill, Grady Hendrix, Paul Tremblay and Louise Penny. I will read anything these people publish. ANYTHING.
I know most people hate it, but A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara is the book I think everyone should read. It's horribly depressing and difficult to read. But, it's also beautiful and tells an important story.
